What's transhumanism?

To quote Wikipedia: "Transhumanism is an international intellectual movement that aims to transform the human condition by developing and making widely available sophisticated technologies to greatly enhance human intellect and physiology."

​

Essentially, I advocate for such a philosophy, and you should too, as we humans have been doing just that since we first discovered fire, so it's nothing new and it's highly unlikely to reverse.  Only the rate at which things are advancing now is different.  I predict that, by roughly the year 2047, we will see the rise of the singularity, and from there, the human race as we know it will cease to exist within the next fifty to a hundred years.  What exactly that means, I don't know, but I have a few creative guesses and I'm dying to find out.  Aren't you?

It won't all be good, and it won't all be bad.  My goal is to help maximize the good while minimizing the bad, but no matter what I do, a great deal of suffering will be in the works for many.  The rest of us will just have to learn to adapt if we're to survive.

 

As an aside, I consider most critics of this philosophy to suffer from fatal levels of lack of imagination.

What are your political beliefs?

​

Complex and nuanced, but people prefer simplicity, so I'll try to give a simple answer.  I generally reject traditional left-right dichotomy, as well as liberal-conservative dichotomy.  I think it's inaccurate and polarizing and so I try to shy away from using those terms when I can, preferring to treat people as individuals and to judge their arguments and policies based on individual merit rather than who they are or where they came from.  That said, I generally favor social liberalism and economic conservatism, which typically gets abbreviated to "libertarian," though there are some exceptions.  Tarl Warwick's views are actually pretty close to my own.

 

More recently I've started using the term "ultra-centrist" to suggest a willingness to hear arguments from any person at any point along the political spectrum, weighing people and policies on an individual basis before accepting or rejecting them.

 

I try to derive my values based on first principles and Natural Law, so I believe in things like free speech, property rights, freedom of association, the non-initiation of force, the right to travel, etc.; and from all that, certain things follow, such as a belief that the government that governs best governs least, though I am not beyond using the power of the State in the short-term if it means moving in the direction of more freedom in the long-term.

Are you an anarchist?

​

No, I think anarchy is a logical contradiction and ignores the desire of some people to voluntarily come together to subject themselves to an external governing body.  Some people can govern themselves, others can't or don't want to, and thus the latter need at least some form of government (ideally run by the former).  Of course, because none of us is a mind-reader, the difficulty lies in sorting out those two groups.

Why a nationalist?

​

Governance from the bottom-up tends to be the least oppressive.  Individuals form families, who form tribes, who form cities, which form States, and then federations.  The State is simply like a club or family or home, but on a larger scale.  I've often said that States are like giant safe spaces where people can retreat to in order to have their particular political and cultural views observed, respected, and maintained.  Towards that end, and to the extent that people's views are irreconcilable, I support the right of secession as well as systems such as Balkanization, so that everyone can have their own place to be who they wanna be and live how they wanna live without infringing on the rights or desires of others to do the same.

Libertarianism and nationalism are highly compatible, as are libertarianism and transhumanism.

​

As a general formula, I maintain that nationalism keeps government small and accountable, which means better economy, which leads to better tech, which means better quality of life, which ultimately means greater freedom and happiness.  This is a self-reinforcing upward spiral and I predict that, within the next fifty years, technology will completely obviate both government and the culture war of identity politics, regardless of whatever else happens socio-politically.

What are your religious beliefs?

​

I think there is a place in this world for organized religion.  Certainly people who have no moral compass can stand to benefit from it.  But by and large, I view institutional religion as merely a phase of human spiritual growth - something to be transcended in favor of a more direct relationship with the powers that be.  Since childhood, I've tried to study religious texts comparatively and I find that many of them have the same core tenants, while differing in the details. 

 

I think those ideas which different cultures converge on are more likely to be true.  Things like the Golden Rule, a belief in a higher cosmic intelligence than man, the unity of all, divination, karma and reincarnation, etc.

Do you believe in God?

​

I generally dislike the word "belief."  As one of my teachers often said, you can't spell "belief" without "lie."  Do I think God exists?  Well, that depends on what you mean by God.  There are many conceptions of God, some of which are more plausible than others.

​

As a short-hand, I often label myself an occult deist, a pagan, and an astro-theologist.  My views are also very similar to those of Thomas Jefferson and Thomas Paine in that I think most religious texts are allegorical, rather than historical, though there are some good and valuable moral lessons to retain from them.  I tend to view deities as archetypes, thought-forms, or in some cases just higher intelligences than mankind.  Ancient aliens also seem like a plausible explanation for many religious myths.

Are you a Mason / Templar / Globalist / Satanist / Illuminatus / Builderburger / Bohemian Grover / Jesuit / Khazar / Zionist / NWO / George Soros plant and-or shill?

​

None of the above.  In fact, I know just enough about each of those things to know they ought to be vehemently opposed whenever possible, which is partly what motivates me to continue along this path.  That said, a lot of the people in those secret societies are probably way smarter than most of you reading this, and certainly more powerful.

​

Step one to defeating your enemy is in figuring out what they know.
