Article 9: Amendment Process

 

 

Whenever three-fourths of them deem it necessary, the Senate shall propose amendments to this Constitution, which shall be valid to all intents and purposes as part of this Constitution.

 

Every thirty-five years, on a day and time to be decided by the Senate, the representatives of the free people of [COUNTRY] shall come together for the purposes of discussing the prevailing attitudes of the country as regard this Constitution and its effectiveness in preserving their natural and civil liberties; and after lengthy discussion, shall vote to ratify or amend it according to whether its principles are still in alignment with the will of the people.

 

As regards ratification of this Constitution, four-fifths of the Senate shall form a quorum, and three-fourths of the Senators in session shall be sufficient to establish and ratify this Constitution or any amendment made thereto.
